Ashcroft's Prison Bitch: Recent headline news says RIAA -lobbyist for
the major record companies- is schmoozing John Ashcroft to get
medieval on peer to peer internet music trading. Why? Because
Sony, BMG, Capitol-EMI and Time-Warner are "losing CD sales."
RIAA wants to pocket each and every entertainment dollar spent
worldwide, and have started leaning on their like-minded, big
business friendly pals in the Bush Administration to get the ball
rolling. Ashcroft is considering punishing individual citizens
-an estimated 100 million in the U.S. alone- who have downloaded
and used file sharing software such as Kazaa, Morpheus or Limewire.
This extremely limited edition disc was created primarily as a
travel present for my west coast pal Uncle Fuzzy, who's in town
for a few days visiting his sweet, elderly mamma. I cannot confirm
or deny the content or intrinsic entertainment value of this disc.
But hey, that's basically true for every J.P. Wow! production.
